Sharon McIntosh   Sharon McIntosh was born in Savannah, Georgia and raised in the South.  She began painting at the early age of eight and studied under local artists, Sidney Beauman and Sally Bostwick.  She continued to pursue her painting studies in college culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting from  Florida International University, Miami, FL. where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.   Sharon has worked in several mediums, primarily oils and acrylics.  In recent years, her interest has shifted to watercolors.  This medium provides her new sources of inspiration and creates exciting challenges in depicting the southern lifestyle she is accustomed to.  Her love of painting, combined with her attraction to the surrounding waterways, historical sites, and the area's unique landscapes, beckons her to share these experiences with others visually.    She and her family are very involved in the pleasures of sailing and boating upon the waters of their coastal realm.  Her paintings depict selective viewpoints of this lifestyle found amidst Southern backdrops.  Sharon's works are created to invite the audience into the feelings of color and the enticing emotions of Living Southern.   This online gallery shows her recent painted images.  The Giclee Watercolor prints are Limited Editions of 50.  Giclee Oil prints are in limited Editions of 100.
