About Sharon McIntosh

Sharon has been painting the southern landscape since she was 8 years old. After studying painting with local artists Sydney Beauman and Sally Bostwick throughout her school years, she then graduated from Florida International University in Miami  with a BFA in painting.

In 2006 she revisited her painting career and has been living her dream of telling her story through paint.  She interprets her coastal lifestyle through her love of color.   Her subject matter includes her life on the water and the diversity of  Savannah's scenery.

She enjoys painting in the studio and plein' air (outdoors).  Her professional life includes not only painting but teaching.  She is popular in the region with her commission work.

When she is not painting her passion turns to time on the water with her husband, son and her favorite pet corgi known as Admiral Reese.  Below are some photos of her and her family.

My son, Hans and husband Olin, sailing on the "Peconic Tonic" .  I married into a sailing family and that is apparent in my subject matter.  When I am not painting I am usually out on our sailboat or motorboat taking photo's and enjoying the good life.

This is my corgi, Admiral Reese.  He gets lots of press because he is so special.

Olin and Reese floating on their noodles in the lake.  Yes...Admiral Reese now knows how to float on a noodle.  He also rides his boogie board...if you want to see that go to You Tube and search for "My Corgi can Boogie?"
